Heart Healthy Snacks & Drinks for American Heart Month

In January, I celebrated my 44th birthday and I'm realizing more and more each day that it's time to get serious about my health. I drink water, walk occasionally and don't drink pop, but I know that there are other things I could be doing to be healthy.

When choosing foods that are heart healthy, you want to be sure to pick the colors of the rainbow. Colorful fruits and veggies make it so we get the proper amount of vitamins and nutrients in our diets. Especially purple foods which have polyphenols in them and important for a healthy heart.

  1. I love Welch's Grape Juice but it has so much sugar in it that although it's great for your heart, I just can't indulge in it as much as I would like.
