Kid Friendly Food & Things to Do at The Minnesota State Fair

Corn dog, Big Fat Bacon,
Candy bars & Cheese Curds
Something on plate, Corn on the cob,
Ice cold mi-ilk!
A happy dancing baby,
Ice cream, so delicious,
wipe your face.

Yes, I still remember the Minnesota State Fair jingle and can you guess what my favorite part of the state fair is? You guessed it. The food!

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to try the new Minnesota State Fair food for 2015. I know you're jealous, but don't be. The fair will be here in just 21 more days. Here's a sneak peak.

Mac & Cheese Cupcake

Stuffed Italian Meatloaf On-A-Stick

Totchos

Salted Caramel Puff Malt

Maple Bacon Funnel Cake

Grandma Deb's Snicker Bar Salad

My favorites include the Totchos and the Stuffed Italian Meatloaf on a stick. Out of the desserts, I like the Salted Caramel Puff Malt best.

As wonderful as state fair food is, there's so much more to do! Take a look at these super fun, family friendly events at the Minnesota State Fair!

Equimani
CHS Miracle of Birth Center
All-Star Stunt Dogs Splash
Alphabet Forrest
Animal Barns
Giant SIng-a-long
Math on-a-stick
3rd Lair Skatepark
Daily Parade

Activities at Carousel Park & Expo Place
Great Big Sandbox

and soooo much more!

  1. I haven't been to a State Fair in years, Delaware's just ended but it is just to far of a drive for me - perhaps one day I'll catch the bus down to Harrington.

  14. Looks like you had a good ole time at the fair! One thing about the fair, they get creative with their food and you don't feel right if you don't at least try one new thing.
